WKRP Episode: "Daydreams"

By request, an episode from season 3 where each of the regulars has a daydream while Mr. Carlson delivers a dull speech.

For some reason, whenever WKRP does an episode without an audience (this one has a pretty obvious laugh track) it reminds me a bit of SCTV, and this episode, written by Peter Torokvei, reminds me a lot of SCTV, with its low-key, deadpan parody skits done without an audience. I think some of these skits could benefit from more "hard" jokes. Venus as a white-bread Vegas standup comic is a great idea, though, because instead of contradicting his character it fits him so perfectly (it's part of the ongoing running gag that Venus, off the air, is incredibly un-hip). Bailey's dream sequence was cut in most syndication versions; I edited it in from another source.

Thanks for putting in Bailey's dream sequence, I've never seen it before. I was a kid when it was in its first run and if I saw it then, I don't remember. The scene is definitely not on my copy from early-90s syndication.

Classic moment on TV when Les says to Jennifer: Pour something sticky all over me> I never laughed so hard in my life.

Awww man, the You Tube parts were pulled. I really wanted to see Bailey's dream sequence as it's cut from the copy I have dubbed from the sydication cut.

Any chance you can upload them to a different site?

as trebor1415 commented, the videos have been taken off of youtube! I would also love to see Bailey's dream. Here's hoping you are able to post them on a different site! (I believe I read elsewhere that She becomes president of the United States)

This is missing one line that Les says before Herb makes a comment about Mr. Carlson's name also being Art. Something about Tolstoy saying something about radio. Probably only 5 seconds missing but it's on the dvd I just watched.
