Love it. Dead on funny. Check out the guest appearance by Bambi. Did this win an Oscar? Seems to me it was nominated. And dig that crazy title sequence.

Who was it that once said that it was a shame that as soon as Disney started to make truly funny cartoons they stopped making shorts altogether?

So true.

Hannah may have made this overt satire only because he knew he'd soon be retiring from Disney. It remains a high water mark as the only completely satirical Disney short.

Also noteworthy is that this short was apparently in production during the Warner Bros. studio shutdown in mid-1953, and WB background artist (and original Bugs Bunny character designer) Bob Givins did uncredited work on the cartoon.

Definetly surprised by the pacing of this short as well as some of the gags, it was border line Tex Avery. The Bambi cameo was priceless. XD

Love it too! Cartoons really never fail to entertain all ages. I usually download free online movies at http://www.downloadmoviesfree.net and enjoy watching it.
