The Rewards of Being Good At Audio Dubbing
Someone synched up the famous Orson Welles "Frozen Peas" audio outtake with the animation of the Brain (of Pinky and the Brain) doing the same routine. It works surprisingly well.
This is kind of the cartoon/commercial voice-over equivalent of synching up the opening of "The Wizard of Oz" with "Dark Side of the Moon" Once whoever did this figured out the voice and images really did match, it was a labor of love to finish it and post it on the web.
I so want to redo this video with Vincent D'Onofrio doing the Orson Welles voice...that would be an even weirder bit of pop culture (Maurice La Marche dubbed Vincent's Orson Welles voice for Tim Burton's 'Ed Wood'). That would be a really sweet injoke
Wow! This is great! I think that infamous audio clip becomes a bit funnier with something to look at.

ReplyDeleteBut in the original animation, what did The Brain say for the bit where Orson says "If you can show me a way of saying that I'll go down on you?"
ReplyDeleteAnd what did the 99% of the original audience who didn't get the frozen peas reference make of this, I wonder?
Instead of "I'll go down on you," the Brain said "I'll make cheese for you."
ReplyDeleteStill one of the greatest show-bizzy inside jokes I've ever seen.
