Great, indeed. I remember this strip well. A perfect example of what made the original "Peanuts" great: the conflation of the POV of the child with that of the child psychologist. At some point, this grotesque and hilarious combination yielded to garden-variety cuteness. That's when "Peanuts" jumped over the beagle.
