I don't have much to blog about right now (though you'd think that the one advantage of a blog based entirely on random old stuff is that you're never at a loss for what to write about -- doesn't work out that way, I guess), so I'll instead direct you to a relatively new blog from

Vanity Fair writer, book reviewer, and the last good TV critic the
Village Voice ever had. His blog deals quite a bit with the intersection of popular culture/media and politics, and sometimes just with popular culture itself, as in his explanation of why Leno is better than Letterman.
