There are a few musicals that deal with serious matters on a grand scale (something Opera has done for centuries) and many with personal (or small community) grief but few that encompass mass disaster. I can only think of Titanic from the more successful end of the marketplace. Although obviously Fiddler gets us near that 'collective' level it does to an extent rely on our knowledge of the Germany of 30-40 years on.<br />If anyone can fill me in on other decent 'serious' musicals I would love to know.<br />Thank you again for this article.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07564475751003025037noreply@blogger.com
